Friday, April 4th - Dart Tournament 6:30 PM Thursday, April 10th - House Committee meeting 5:30 PM Troop Care Packages 4:30 PM Thursday, April 17th - VFW and Auxiliary meeting 6:30 PM Election of Officers for the following year. Saturday, April 26th - Hamburgers starting at 6:00 PM Awards Presentation for Voice of Democracy, Patriot's Pen, Teacher of the Year and Boy Scout Awards. Sunday, April 27th - District 7 Meeting at Post 3274, Hobbs. Coffee and doughnuts at 9:00 AM, Meeting at 10:00 AM lunch served after the meeting. We will have stews and salads. Members are asked to bring a salad of some kind, cornbread, rolls and or desserts. UPCOMING EVENTS:State Convention in Albuquerque, June 5th thru June 7th.National Convention in St. Louis, July 19th thru July 23rd.

Memorial Service Announcement

Memorial Service for Adelee Brice will be Thursday March 20th at 10:00 AM. Chapel of Hope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the memorial to be at the VFW, 609 W. Alto, in Hobbs. She passed away Monday, March 10th when her home burned.

NMJC Corrections Academy Donation to the "V"

Naomi Phillips, Director of NMJC Corrections Academy presenting a donation of $1,275.00 to Commander Eddie Rodriguez of Blakey Post 3274 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Corrections Academy Class #62 held a car wash in the parking lot at Kaleidoscdoops with water furnished by Wienerschnitzel. They donated their proceeds to the VFW. Director Phillips said this was their way of giving positive feedback to the community and creating a positive image for corrections and all law enforcement personnel in our community.
